The QE Index in Doha added 0.22% and finished at 7,647.32 points. With a year-to-date advance of 9.93% the Qatari bourse is the best performing market in the GCC. Banks in particular fuel the boom. Qatar Islamic Bank gained half a percent to close at QR81.40. The country's second largest lender Commercial Bank of Qatar climbed 0.72%, finishing at QR84. Both shares trade at new 2010 highs.
