Al Khor Hospital, which serves the northern part of Qatar, has announced plan to expand its facilities, doubling the number of beds, the Peninsula has reported. The expansion of the 116-bed hospital will take place mainly in the internal medicine department and the out-patient clinics. "The main focus is on the expansion of the surgery and paediatrics sections and is now in the final phases. There are also plans to double the number of beds to cope with the increasing number of patients," Dr Hani Hassan Al Kilani, chief of staff of the hospital said.
