Qtel is warning Internet users in Qatar of fraudulent e-mails that claim to come from Qatar Internet Services and ask consumers to disclose personal information, reported The Peninsula. The e-mail purportedly offers a new and improved service, but also says that anyone who does not respond will risk having their e-mail and internet accounts permanently de-activated. It is headlined 'The all-new Qatar Internet Services! You must be a part of it to avoid de-activation of your Internet Qatar e-mail." Qtel has clarified the e-mail does not come from Qtel or any recognised Qatari company.
