Khartoum will be airline’s 10th destination
RAK Airways will start flights to Khartoum in Sudan on 15 December.
The new destination brings the airline’s total destination network to 10. In October, RAK Airways said it would launch flights to Kuwait on 20 November (MEED 18:10:11).
“We had a clear mandate to fly to 10 destinations within one year of relaunching our operations. With the introduction of our flights to Khartoum, we have achieved our objective and laid the foundation for a successful and profitable future for the airline,” says Omar Jahameh, chief executive of RAK Airways.
“Khartoum presents compelling business opportunities and marks our commitment to furthering our presence in North Africa.”
RAK Airways was relaunched on 10 October 2010, having suspended operations for more than a year.
