South Korea received a quarter of its gas supplies from RasGas
Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company (RasGas) will supply 8.3 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to South Korea in 2011, which represents a quarter of the Asian country’s gas demand, according to Qatar’s energy minister.
The Qatari company will deliver more than 7 million tonnes on long-term contracts this year and has delivered more than 1 million tonnes on a spot basis, the Gulf Times quotes the minister Mohammed al-Sada.
