The local Reem Developers has invited companies to bid by 11 May for a contract to build bridges at its Najmat Abu Dhabi project on Reem Island.
The works involve the construction of road bridges that will cross the $8bn development’s canals and marinas. China Harbour Engineering is working on a $55m contract to build three marinas and a canal by the end of 2008.
The consultant is the UK team of Hyder Consulting with Halcrow. Malaysia’s KLCC Holdings is the project manager (MEED 9:3:07).
