Unconfirmed reports claim foreign troops arrive in Aden in southern Yemen

Reports have emerged that foreign troops have landed in the Yemeni port city of Aden in the south of the country.

The nationality of the troops remains unconfirmed as fighting in Aden intensifies with the Shia Houthi rebels understood to have advanced into the centre of the city

Local media has also reported that clashes between the Houthis and militia fighters loyal to President Abdrabbu Mansour al-Hadi have increased, despite air strikes from Saudi-led coalition forces.

Other unconfirmed reports have stated that rebel tanks have been spotted rolling into the city.

Aid agency Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) told the BBC that 500 injured had been admitted to hospital, and witnesses have reported bodies lying in the streets.
