Residential development launched at Dubai Maritime City

The local property developer, Iris has launched a AED2.5bn ($680m) residential development, to be located in Dubai Maritime City (DMC).

Designed by the UK’s Atkins, the building will be 200 metres in height and 54-storeys, containing 355 apartments comprising one, two and three-bedroom units.

The plot is located in the harbour residence district of DMC and covers a built-up area of 79,000 square metres.

Other sectors in the city include the industrial precinct, harbour offices, maritime centre and Dubai Maritime City campus.

The project is expected to be completed by July 2011.

Dubai Maritime City is a 2.2 million square metre mixed-use development designed to serve the maritime industry. It is located between Port Rashid and Dubai Dry Docks.
