Belgian group to open hotels in five countries in the region
Belgium-based Rezidor Hotel Group plans to open 15 new hotels in the Middle East region by the end of 2014.
The hotels will be spread between five different countries throughout the region and will have a total of 4,225 rooms.
Kuwait and Qatar will each have a hotel, two are planned for Oman, four for Saudi Arabia and seven are scheduled to open in the UAE.
The Rezidor group comprises of five different brands: Radisson Blu Hotels and Resorts, Park Inn, Country Inns and Suites, The Regent, and Hotel Missoni.
The group has more than 370 hotels, with 78,000 rooms in total, in operation or development in 58 countries in Europe and the Middle East.
Rezidor opened three Park Inns in the Middle East Last year, one each in Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE.
