Riyadh to approve eight high-rise towers

06 November 2008
The Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) is set to approve the design for at least eight high-rise towers in the centre of Riyadh in the next few weeks.

The towers are in the commercial area of King Fahd Road in the centre of the city. Most of them will range in height from 40-80 floors, but it is expected that one of the towers could reach up to 100 floors.

If approved, the new projects will transform the commercial district, which has few tall buildings.

Among the few tall towers in the city are the 267 metre-high Al-Faisaliah tower and the 302 metre-high Kingdom Centre, which is currently the tallest building in Riyadh.
