South Korea’s Hyundai Rotem has won the RO77.6m ($201.8m) contract to build a sewage treatment plant at Seeb, near the capital.
Rotem, an affiliate of Hyundai Motor Group, was widely expected to win after submitting the lowest bid for the contract earlier in the year, beating competition from two other bidding groups (MEED 11:2:08).
The contract calls for the construction of a 82,000-cubic-metre-a-day sewage treatment plant.
The client is Oman Wastewater Services Company.
