Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company asks for commercial bids to be submitted by late July
Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) has extended the deadline for commercial bids on an estimated $150m flare gas recovery project in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi.
The state-owned company has asked for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) proposals to be submitted by late July, pushing the deadline back from 26 June, according to a company involved on the project. The original deadline for commercial bids was 31 May.
The scheme is designed to reduce the volume of gas flared in the emirate, as well as portect the environment, by reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide. The facility will also increase domestic natural gas supplies.
Companies submitting technical bids on 13 May included Switzerland’s ABB, Beijing-based China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), Athens-based Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), French group Litwin, and Indian contractors Essar Engineering Services and Punj Lloyd.
