Samer Zureikat

Biography: Samer Zureikat is a founding partner of Germany-based Mena Cleantech, a developer of renewable energy projects in the Middle East and North Africa region. The company, which was formed in March 2008, focuses on concentrated solar power technology and is currently developing a 100MW project in Jordan known as Joan 1.
In 1995, Zureikat co-founded a pesticide manufacturing plant in his native Jordan, where he worked for 11 years. During his time there, Zureikat worked in project management, purchasing, marketing, factory management and as a general manager. He also established the firm’s North African subsidiary in Algeria.
In 2006, Zureikat moved to Germany, where he worked as a partner with a Swiss-based venture capital fund focused on the European clean energy technology sector.
Zureikat has a bachelor of science degree in economics from the US’ Wharton School of Business.
