Saudi Arabia to take on Gulf aluminium producers

Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden)has broadened the scope of its $3,200 million bauxite project to include a 600,000 tonne-a-year aluminium smelter, potentially making Saudi Arabia one of the region's largest producers of the metal.
