Saudi Aramco seeks firms for dredging package

Client expects to receive bids by 17 January

Saudi Aramco has invited firms to bid by 17 January for the dredging and reclamation contract for two drilling islands and an access bridge for its Berri offshore oilfield.

It is understood the prequalified firms for the contract include:

  • Archirodon (Netherlands)
  • China Harbour Engineering Company (China)
  • Dredging International (Belgium)
  • Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company (US)
  • Huta Marine (local)
  • Jan De Nul (Belgium)
  • Larsen & Toubro (India)
  • National Marine Dredging Company (UAE)
  • Royal Boskalis Westminster (Netherlands)
  • Sinohydro (China)
  • STFA Construction Group (Turkey)
  • Van Oord (Netherlands)

MEED understands the project is located within close proximity of the Jubail King Fahd Industrial Port (KFIP).

The works include dredging and reclamation for the north and south islands, dredging and causeway expansion and access bridge for the south island.

MEED earlier reported that Saudi Aramco is preparing to award a contract to upgrade the water injection system at Manifa.

The project is estimated to be worth $150m.

The project involves the installation and pre-commissioning of subsea pipelines, biocide skids and a corrosion inhibition unit at the Manifa central processing unit.
