Complex will be located in Riyadh
The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has extended the submission date for bids to build a new headquarters complex in Riyadh.
The utility has extended the bid deadline to 21 May for the construction contract. The original submission date was 6 May. According to sources close to the project, the extension has been provided to enable contractors more time to work on bids.
The headquarters complex will consist of four office buildings of five floors, which will cover a total area of 250,000 square metres.
The project is one of several major construction schemes being undertaken in the kingdom for a number of government clients.
MEED recently reported that the local ABV Rock had been selected by Saudi Arabias Interior Ministry to replace the local Saudi Binladin on the project to build an estimated SR12bn ($3.2bn) Medical City in Jeddah.
