Saudi Freyssinet wins Jeddah road contract

The local Saudi Freyssinet has been awarded a SR200m ($53m) construction contract for infrastructure work in Jeddah.

The contract covers the construction of a flyover on Sary road in the city. It will have a span of 1 kilometre and is expected to be a four-lane road.

Construction is due to begin in the next few weeks and is expected to last two years. The client is the Transport Ministry.

Saudi Freyssinet is also set to win the SR900m construction contract for the Headquarter Business Park on the Jeddah corniche.

The 54-storey, 250-metre tower is being developed by the local Aldar al-Khasa. The UK’s WSP is the consultant. Construction is expected to take three years (MEED 19:05:08).
