Saudi education attachés have been instructed by the higher education ministry to take legal action against Saudi scholarship students seeking to officially reside in their countries of study, the Saudi Gazette has reported. Urgent action, such as suspending scholarships and ordering refunds, should be taken against students who do not want to return to the kingdom, the ministry said. The King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Programme started five years ago and some 28,000 students have enrolled in the program.
