Project aims to boost output to 350,000 tonnes
Saudi White Cement Company has signed a SR152.6m ($40.7m) contract with France’s Fives FCB to expand its daily production capacity to 1,000 tonnes from the current 700 tonnes, Al-Riyadh daily has reported. Set for completion in mid-2012, the project aims to boost the plant’s annual output to 350,000 tonnes, which represents about 60 per cent of local demand for white cement.
