The UAE's Schon Properties has awarded the local United Engineering Construction (Unec) a AED400m ($109m) construction contract in Schon Business Park.
The scope of work covers the construction of a commercial office complex, which covers 46,000 square metres. The total built-up area of the site is 107,000 square metres.
It includes the construction work on the basements, superstructure, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP), and hard and soft landscaping.
Construction is expected to begin in September and will take 18 months to complete.
Local developer Schon Properties is the client.
In August, Schon Properties awarded the local Belhasa Engineering & Contracting, a AED1.7bn contract to build zones three and six at the Dubai Lagoon project at Dubai Investments Park (MEED 26:8:08).
