Seven set sail for Navigation Tower

Bids are under evaluation for the main contract on the Navigation Tower project in Doha. The bidders are Al-Huda Engineering, Aljaber Engineering, Midmac Contracting, Ramco and SEG, all local; Multiplex of Australia; and Turkey's DXB. An award is expected in early May. The project involves the construction of a 52-storey, 220-metre-high building which will have a total built-up area of 116,700 square metres. It will include a six-storey car park with space for up to 1,700 vehicles. Hill International (Middle East), part of the US' Hill International, is project and construction manager; the local MZ & Partners has carried out the design work. The client is Qatar Navigation (MEED 17:2:06).
