Commissioning target for $11bn Abu Dhabi Shah gas scheme pushed back from late 2014, says Adnoc chief

Abu Dhabi’s $11bn Shah sour gas development is behind schedule and will not come on stream until early 2015, according to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s (Adnoc) CEO Abdul Nasser al-Suwaidi.

Project developer Al-Hosn Gas, a joint venture of Adnoc and US-based Occidental Petroleum, was planning to complete the project by the end of 2014.

Al-Suwaidi was quoted by Reuters as saying the project is now expected to start up next year.
