Shapoorji wins construction contract for Dubai medical centre

New facility to be built in Dubai Healthcare City

India’s Shapoorji Pallonji has been appointed as the main contractor for a new medical centre in Dubai Healthcare City. 

The six-storey hospital will have about 17,000 square metres of internal space, and three basement levels for parking, 

The local Arif & Bintoak Architects & Engineers is the consultant. The client is the local Dr Sulaiman al-Habib Group.

Earlier in February, Shapoorji won an $80m contract to build Saudi Arabia’s Al-Abdulakarim Holding new headquarters in Dammam. The commercial tower will have a total built-up area of about 65,000 square metres (sqm). The building will have 40 storeys of office space, as well as seven parking levels.

The design and engineering for the project was done by Dubai-based Dewan Architects & Engineers.
