Budget to fund sustainable urban development projects
Sharjahs government has approved AED150m ($41m) to fund projects proposed by the Public Works Department.
The proposed projects were in line with the goal to achieve emirate-wide sustainable development, according to Ali bin Shaheen al-Suwaidi, head of the Public Works Department in Sharjah.
The budget spans academic, sports and educational projects, according to a statement published by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Al-Suwaidi said 90 per cent of the emirates planned municipal development and service projects in 2015 were completed.
