The government of Sharjah has signed an agreement with Monaco-based Rex Oil and Gas for exploration and drilling in Sharjah’s Eastern offshore concession.

Under the agreement, Rex gain the right to explore and produce oil and gas in the Khor Fakkan and Kalba areas for 23 years. The company will conduct the geological studies, carry out 3D seismic surveys and drill exploration wells.
