Twelve companies have been prequalified for the design and construction supervision contract covering future phases of the estimated $1,000 million Muscat wastewater project. A tender is expected in early 2005. The work will focus particularly on the expansion of the system to the Seeb area, which will be the next phase to be implemented. A list of prequalifiers is also being drawn up by the client, Oman Wastewater Services Company, for the project management contract on the scheme (MEED 10:12:04).
