The DFM General Index added 0.20%, closing at 1,572.98 points. Shares of investment Shuaa Capital gained a4.42% to reach Dhs1.18. Earlier in the day, Shuaa announced that the Tunisian Financial Market Council has lifted the freeze on its brokerage accounts in Tunisia. Shuaa added, that "there were no connections with individuals who are currently under investigation by the authorities in Tunisia", in relation to the temporary freeze. Emaar Properties closed flat at Dhs3.24. Investors booked profits at Dubai Refreshments (off 3.67% at Dhs10.50) and Aramex (down 2.11% at Dhs1.86). Islamic real estate developer Deyaar gained 9.43%, finishing at Dhs0.267. Sixteen stocks gained, seven declined and four ended flat. Trading volumes surged to 262.38m worth Dhs247.39m.
