Singapore firm to build Ajman’s tallest tower

13 March 2008
Singapore’s Tri Union Builders has been awarded an AED400m ($109m) contract to build a 70-storey tower in the emirate of Ajman.

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use building with office and serviced apartments, near to the Ajman Kempinski hotel.

The consultant is Dubai-based National Engineering Bureau. The client is an Ajman-based private investor.

Once complete, the tower will be the tallest structure ever built in Ajman and is the latest sign that real estate development in the emirate is gathering pace.

Last year, Egypt’s Al-Zamelek Contracting was awarded the AED1.4bn ($381m) contract to build the Ajman-1 development on Ajman corniche, and plans are being prepared for other projects including Ajman marina and a $4bn development by the local Real Estate Investment Establishment and South Korea's DSEC International (MEED 16:1:08).
