Terminal to be built at New Brega

Libya’s Sirte Oil Company has invited contractors to bid for a deal to design and construct a new airport building at its base in New Brega, east of Tripoli.

The contract covers the construction of a four-storey air terminal with passenger departure and arrival halls, a baggage conveyor, a control tower and related mechanical and electrical utilities.

The deadline for bids is set for 17 December.

The airport will be built close to the oil company’s refinery, petrochemicals complex and export terminal, which is one of the important oil export hubs in Libya.
