SNC Lavalin to build district cooling plant in Bahrain

Tabreed Bahrain has signed an agreement with Canada’s SNC Lavalin to build a district cooling plant at Bahrain Financial Harbour.

Tabreed Bahrain has also signed an agreement with a team of Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation and Japan AE Power Systems Corporation, which will supply the development with two 66kV substations.

Tabreed Bahrain is a joint venture of UAE-based National Cooling Company (Tabreed), Esterad Investment Company and AA Bin Hindi Group, both local.

Bahrain Financial Harbour is a waterfront development on reclaimed land which will have commercial and residential units. The development covers an area of 380,000 square metres.
