Facilty will store fuel for use in power generation and industrial purposes
The state-owned oil company Sonatrach is planning to build a $450m multi-fuel storage facility at Tamanrasset in the south of Algeria.
The scheme will have a capacity of 48,000 cubic metres and the construction phase is expected to last for three years. No exact timeline has been given for the project by Algerian oil minister, Youcef Yousfi, when he announced it on national radio.
The fuel will be used for several different applications, including power generation and industrial purposes.
