Sony shares fell sharply on Tuesday amid reports that the electronics giant is set to post its first annual operating loss in 14 years because of a drop in demand and a strong yen, reported AFP. Sony is expected to post an operating loss of 100 billion yen ($1.12bn) for the financial year to March 2009, the Nikkei business daily reported.
