Companies have been invited to bid by 2 August for the main infrastructure package, which includes the construction of internal roads and the installation of services for the entire development.

Sorouh is also evaluating bids from eight local companies for an earthworks and deep sewer excavation package.

The bidders are: Abu Dhabi General Transport Company, Abu Dhabi Land, ADMAC, ADMAK General Contracting, Al-Jaber Group, Al-Muhairy General Contacting, Copri Contracting and Hilalco.

The UK’s Hyder Consulting is the infrastructure consultant on Shams Abu Dhabi. The US’ Hill International with 3D/I+PI, made up of US-based 3D/I, Bahrain-based Projacs International and the local
Al-Qudra Holding, is the overall project manager.
