Successful bidder to build roads and drainage networks
Abu Dhabi-based Sorouh Real Estate has invited companies to bid by 15 November for an infrastructure contract at its Al-Ghadeer project on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai border.
The successful bidder will build roads and drainage networks for the development. The scheme will cover an area of 3 million square metres.
Al-Ghadeer is located at Seih al-Sdeira and will house 18,000 people close to commercial centres in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The site is approximately 10 minutes drive to the new Dubai airport at Jebel Ali and 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi’s proposed new port facility, Taweelah (MEED 27:12:09).
A team of US-based Parsons International and the UK’s Mouchel Parkman is the infrastructure consultant.
Sorouh is also developing projects such as Shams Abu Dhabi on Reem Island, Saraya on Abu Dhabi Island, and Lulu Island off the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
