Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) has signed a contract of affreightment (CoA) with South Koreas Hyundai Glovis.
Under the terms of the deal, Hyundai Glovis will ship 10 million tonnes a year (t/y) of aggregates for five years, starting from January 2016. The South Korean firm will make 161 trips a year.

The deal follows an agreement with QPMC and Qatars Public Works Authority (Ashghal) to supply 92 million tonnes of gabbro and limestone.
In August, QPMC started supplying local companies with gabbro. A company statement said the firm has since secured 22 million additional tonnes of primary materials from private local firms.
