Star Giga Establishment, a joint venture of the local ETA Star Properties and Pakistan-based Giga Group, has awarded contracts worth AED 470 million ($127 million) for two tower projects in Jumeirah Lake Towers (MEED 7:10:05).

The local Al-Meraikhi Contracting has been awarded the AED 250 million ($68 million) main contract for the Goldcrest Views 2 project. The 39-storey tower comprises 439 apartments, a health club and a rooftop swimming pool. The local Dutch Foundation has completed the piling works. The project is scheduled for completion by March 2008.

A joint venture of the local ETA Ascon and India's Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast has been awarded the AED 220 million ($60 million) main contract for the Goldcrest Executive project.

The 39-storey tower contains three basement levels, ground floor and basement retail areas, a plaza, a business centre and a first-floor suite of meeting rooms. Other facilities include a health club and a rooftop swimming pool. The total built-up area is 46,500 square metres. Completion is set for June 2008. Dutch Foundation has completed the piling package.
