Sudair industrial city consortium set to be announced

A consortium of 10 international and local companies, which will begin development on Sudair industrial city, is to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

The group will initially develop the first phase of the project, which will cover 15 square kilometres. The work is expected to be completed in two years.

Sudair Industrial City is a 257 square-kilometre, $40bn industrial city in the Nejd region, north of Riyadh.

It is being developed by the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (Sipa), otherwise known as the Saudi Organisation for Industrial Estates & Technology Zones (SOIETZ).

The concept masterplan, which was being developed by the Singapore-based Jurong International was finalised in September (MEED 23:3:08).
