The Suez Canal Authority has reported that its revenues in September rose 7.2% to $410.2m compared to $382.5m in the same month last year, Kuna has reported. The number of passing ships rose 4.1% to 1,513 in September 2010 from 1,454 ships in the same period last year, while net cargos surged 13.1% with the total edging up in September of this year to 72.8 million tonnes compared to 64.4 million tonnes in September 2009.
