A survey has revealed that 77% of people from the low income bracket of Dubai do not have any health cover, Khaleej Times has reported. In comparison, the Household Health Survey found that 80% of people from the high income group are covered, of which only 5% of UAE nationals do not hold a government health card while 50% are covered by private health insurance. In response to the survey, Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has said the emirate plans to introduce a health funding model aimed at fulfilling the basic healthcare needs of all income groups,
