Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad) has awarded the AED100m ($27m) contract to build the first phase of its pre-built warehousing to the local System Construct.
The warehousing has been divided into three phases, with a total of 105 units, covering 118,965 square metres. The first phase, now under way, covers an area of 46,453 sq m. The first units of the first phase will be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year.
System Construct also complete Kizad’s show warehouse, which demonstrates both the spacious and flexible designs of the planned warehousing.
Kizad is part of the Abu Dhabi Ports Company’s AED26.5bn ($7.2bn) investment in its new port and industrial zone at Taweelah. The area for the first phase of the industrial zone in Kizad covers an area of 52 square kilometres. The second phase covers an additional 366 sq km.
