Tabreed records 100 per cent profits increase

Abu Dhabi-based cooling company, National Central Cooling Company, Tabreed, recorded on 12 August a 100 per cent increase in first half revenues to AED 91.3 million ($24.9 million), reported Gulf News. Net profits rose 300 per cent for the same period to AED 12.6 million ($3.4 million).

'Despite the seasonal nature of the cooling business where water consumption peaks during the summer - Tabreed has managed to have very good results for the first six months of the year in terms of productivity and profitability,' said Tabreed's managing director, Dany Safi.

Forecasts are that Tabreed'stotal chilled water tonnage in 2003 will reach 80,000 tonnes compared with 41,000 tonnes in 2002 ( 16:5:03).
