The contract, which covers the construction of a new women's college to join existing building on the campus, is worth SR500m ($133m).
At least three local contractors have submitted bids, including Al-Harbi, Al-Kheraiji and Al-Redwan Contracting Company (MEED 03:06:08).
The Education Ministry is the client.
Bids were also submitted in May for construction work at two more universities in the kingdom, King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and Al-Imam Mohamed ibn Saudi Islamic University in Riyadh.
The contract for the Jeddah project involves the construction of two buildings on the university campus and is valued at SR250m.
In Riyadh, the SR400m contract covers the construction of a women's college and an adjacent car park (MEED 14:05:08).
