Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) is inviting interest in the first construction package on its scheme to build a network supplying fuel from Abu Dhabi’s refineries to Abu Dhabi International airport.

The first deal involves building new storage tanks at the Mussafah depot. Under the engineering, procurement and construction deal, the winning contractor will build earthworks, prepare the site, supply 16 major storage tanks, and build associated facilities.

The company is asking potential bidders to register their interest by 20 September.

Takreer expects to complete the prequalification process by October and to issue an invitation to bid later in the same month.

Takreer plans to issue a tender for the main pipeline package in the second quarter of 2010.

The pipelines will link the Ruwais refinery, the Abu Dhabi refinery, Al-Ain storage depot, Mussafah distribution depot and Abu Dhabi International airport.
