Tameer invites firms to bid for Al-Louldah project

15 October 2008
The UAE’s Tameer Holding is inviting firms to bid for the infrastructure design consultancy for a new mixed-use project in Saudi Arabia.

The project, to be called Al-Louldah, covers 2.27 million square metres and will have up to 9,000 housing units able to accommodate up to 30,000 people. It will also feature offices and shops.

The local Omrania & Associates is currently working on the masterplan in a joint venture with the UK’s Barton Willmore.

The infrastructure tender is expected to be issued in the first half of 2009.

While there is no official value for the development, it is expected to be a multi-billion riyal project.
