The ADX General Index ended 0.75% lower Sunday, at 2.606.29, as developers Aldar Properties (off five percent), Sorouh Real Estate (down 6.50%) and Ras al-Khaima (RAK) Properties (2.38% lower) dragged the gauge down. Bellwether Etisalat, the UAE's first telco provider closed unchanged. Shares of Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. or Taqa added 0.76%. Oil prices (U. S. crude) edged 1.6% higher during the day. "Tensions regarding Iran continue to impact oil prices," said DIFC Chief Economist and Head of External Relations Dr. Nasser Saidi in his weekly update. Around 80m shares were traded, valued at Dhs115.1m.
