Abu Dhabi National Energy Co (Taqa) has utilised recent advances in technology to restart crude oil production at the Rijn field offshore of the Netherlands, 12 years after it was shut down. TAQA has a 38.27% operating interest in the Rijn field which the company acquired in 2007. The Rijn wells are connected to the TAQA-operated P15-ACD offshore production and processing facilities.
