- TDIC currently developing three museums
Abu Dhabis Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) has appointed Sufian Hasan al-Marzooqi as its new chief executive.
I am pleased to be given this opportunity to help guide TDIC during this exciting period, with distinctive projects currently underway, such as Louvre Abu Dhabi, said Al-Marzooqi in a press statement.
The Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) was created as the tourism asset management and development branch of the Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA).
TDIC is currently developing the Zayed, Guggenheim and Louvre museums in Abu Dhabi.
In May contractors submitted revised offers for the contracts to the Zayed and Guggenheim museums.
In January 2013, TDIC awarded the main construction contract to build the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum on Saadiyat Island to a joint venture of Arabtec, San Jose and Oger Abu Dhabi.
