Al-Hosn Gas contracts engineering group to design condensates storage tank

  • Condensate tank to have 50,000-barrel capacity
  • Client operates Shah sour gas development

Tebodin has been awarded a front-end engineering and design (feed) contract for an off-spec condensates storage tank in Abu Dhabi, according to a source familiar with the project.

The contract was awarded in June by Al-Hosn Gas, a joint venture of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) and US-based Occidental Petroleum, which operates the emirate’s recently commissioned Shah sour gas development.

The feed study covers the design of a condensate tank with a capacity of 50,000 barrels.

The scope also includes piping connections, pumping and piping, sampling facilities, a filtration system, a tank water draining facility, bund wall, fire detection and protection facilities, electrical power supply, integrated control and safety systems (ICSS), evaluation of long-lead items, and determining the scope of work, schedule and cost estimated for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) phase.

Earlier in the year, Tebodin was awarded a conceptual and design study for a new compression station in Abu Dhabi’s sales gas network for Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (Gasco).

Tebodin is a company of the international engineering and services group Bilfinger SE.
