Tender issued for Muscat Court complex

A tender has been issued for a new government building in Oman’s capital Muscat.

The project covers the construction of a new court complex in the city, with an estimated value of OR10m ($26m).

Eight firms have so far purchased the tender documents including the Omani branch of the Turkish-based company Ay Tek Construction, the local Hasan bin Juma bin Backer Trading & Contracting, the local Carillion Alawi and Galfar Engineering & Contracting.

The closing date for bids is 23 June 2008.

The Ministry also recently issued the tender for the construction of a court complex at Al-Buraimi, which was cancelled. It is now being re-tendered with a closing date for bids of 7 July.
