The plant is in Duqm, in the Al-Wusta region in the east of the country.
The client, the Rural Areas Electricity Company, is inviting international companies specialising in electrical works. The closing date for bids is 25 August.
The company recently re-tendered the project to build another 27MW power plant at Duqm. The lumpsum turnkey contract also includes the relocation of five diesel generators from Salalah and four from Sur to the Duqm site (MEED 3:6:08).
